Giving and Planning
Since 1991, we have helped people just like you – individuals, families, and businesses – make a real difference in the lives of others through charitable giving. Whether you want to support your favorite causes now, or are planning for the future, we can help you create a customized charitable fund that will simplify your giving and create an impact on the causes you care most about. Your unique charitable fund can support a causes or nonprofits you’re passionate about, your alma mater, church and so much more.
We make it easy for you to give back to this community or your favorite causes, now and for generations. Your unique charitable fund can be easy to start and our expert staff will work with you to ensure that your fund is designed to match your charitable intent. We take all of the administrative details, investment issues, reporting and regulatory requirements off your hands. Simply decide the charitable purpose(s) of your fund, and we do the rest.
Giving Later through Your Will or Estate
At CFSI, we can help you support your favorite causes after your lifetime by crafting a charitable bequest or estate plan that will carry on your legacy of giving, forever. We can work with you, your family, and advisor to organize your giving, maximize your charitable impact to your favorite causes and, if it is important to you, include your family in your charitable planning.
Make a Gift Using Your Qualified Charitable Distribution
If you are age 70 1/2 or older, you can make a tax-free Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA to a personalized fund at the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana to support your favorite charitable interests. The money you direct to CFSI will be excluded from your ordinary income for federal income tax purposes, and the amount will count towards your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year!
