Nonprofit Scenario Planning Workshop Series (2026)

Nonprofit organizations across Southern Indiana are navigating rapid change, evolving community needs, and increasing financial pressures. The Nonprofit Scenario Planning Workshop Series is a collaborative initiative of Southern Indiana funders designed to help nonprofit leaders plan proactively, adapt strategically, and strengthen organizational sustainability.
This free, three-part workshop series is supported by the Bales Foundation, the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana, Duke Energy Foundation, and Metro United Way will be facilitated by Ed Cortas, Principal & Founder of Emergent Endeavors.
What Participants Will Gain
Participants will leave the series with:
- A 12-month, operationally oriented plan focused on organizational viability and financial sustainability
- Clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, timelines, and key indicators
- Scenario-based planning across best-case, worst-case, and likely conditions
- Improved skills in planning, implementation, and ongoing assessment
- Stronger peer relationships and shared learning with fellow nonprofit leaders
- Dedicated space for visioning, creativity, and strategic reflection
Workshop Structure
- Dates: February 11, 18, and 25, 2026
- Time: 9:00–11:30 a.m.
- Location: Prosser Career Education Center, 4202 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, IN 47150
- Format: Three in-person, interactive sessions (2.5 hours each)
- Commitment: Attendance at all three sessions is required; pre-work will be assigned
Who Should Attend
- Nonprofit CEOs / Executive Directors
- Board members involved in governance and strategy
- Organizations serving Clark and/or Floyd County residents
Each organization may register up to two participants. Space is limited and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
