Supporting Student Art Experiences at Speed Art Museum

In 2018, the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana granted $5,000 to the Speed Art Museum to establish a School Tour Fund for Clark County schools.

The School Tour Fund allowed teachers and administrators within the Greater Clark, West Clark, and Clarksville Community School System to visit the Speed Art Museum at no cost and even provided funds for bus transportation .

In all, 690 students from 9 Clark County schools were able to visit the speed Art Museum, connecting them to core curriculum subjects including Arts and Humanities, Social Studies and English Language Arts. Participating students also received a Speed Family Pass to return to the Museum at no cost to share their experience with their caregivers.
