Funds at the Community Foundation support many community needs.

Some funds are created by donors to grant to one or more organizations or purposes every year. Other funds are used for the discretionary grant making of the donor, who makes specific grant recommendations from time to time to support his or her particular charitable interests.

If you are a donor or fund representative who wishes to make a grant recommendation, you can find the form you need here. If you are a donor or fund representative who has questions about your fund, you may contact Crystal Gunther at (812) 948-4662 or cgunther@cfsouthernindiana.com.

The Foundation's unrestricted endowment provides one competitive open grant cycle every year in which the Foundation welcomes applications and project proposals from non-profit and charitable organizations. This typically happens each fall.

If you represent a charitable organization and you wish to apply for a grant during our competitive grant cycle, you can do so here.  Applications from our competitive grant cycle become available in July each year and the submission deadline is typically September 1st.  The competitve grant cycle dates may vary at the discretion of the Foundation.

If you represent a charitable organization and you wish to apply for a grant outside of the above mentioned date, you will need to click here and review our Emergency Grants Policy.  Please contact Crystal Gunther, the Grant and Programs Officer at the Foundation at (812)948-4662 or cgunther@cfsouthernindiana.com for an application.  An emergency grant application will be available online soon.
