President and CEO of Metro United Way
The partnership of Metro United Way and the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana maximizes gifts the United Way receives. Individuals and families in Southern Indiana who want to give legacy or planned gifts are encouraged to do so through a contribution to the Metro United Way endowment fund that is held at the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. “The gifts that people leave for us through the Community Foundation live on forever,” says Joe Tolan, president and CEO of Metro United Way. “We receive funds from the proceeds of that endowment fund every year, and it is used to improve the lives of many in need in Southern Indiana.” | |
Welcome to the web site for the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. As a Community Foundation, our mission is to hold and grow charitable funds for people, businesses, charities, churches and other organizations. As the funds grow, the proceeds can be given to charities and charitable projects. Those gifts can go on forever as we preserve and grow the initial gift. We do other things, too, like teach valuable skills to non-profits, work with professional advisors and provide leadership on key community issues. Want to know more? Spend some time with us here. Read real people’s stories about how the Community Foundation has helped them. Watch a video that tells our story. Donate to any of our charitable funds. And talk to us–how can we help you give back?
