After the March 2nd tornadoes an anonymous donor pledged $10,000 to Clarksville-based Personal Counseling Services (PCS) to provide counseling to survivors of the storms in Southern Indiana.  In order for PSC to receive the funds, the gift had to be matched dollar for dollar.  The Community Foundation of Southern Indiana proudly granted $5,000 to Personal Counseling Services from the Disaster Relief Fund.  The remainder of the match was made by Metro United Way and individual donors.  PSC will open a satellite site at Henryville United Methodist Church starting this summer to provide a wide range of counseling to storm survivors.

The Disaster Relief Fund was created in 2011 to support disaster relief efforts locally, nationally, and abroad to areas affected by natural and other disasters.  After the March 2nd tornadoes in Southern Indiana, the Disaster Relief Fund at the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana received an influx of gifts from individuals and organizations from around the region and the nation to provide support for the recovery of those effected by the storms.
